I recently stumbled upon these two LA based photographers, Sean Marc Lee and Jimi Franklin who both enlighten the mundane in their works.
I was really moved by this series (?) – The 11 shots were posted all combined under the title Neon Noir.
Although Wong Kar-Wai isn’t very far off in the distance, Lee makes us be the nocturnal passenger one should be to discover LA by night, its parking garages, open-late tamales to go and its electric-green patio plants.

The work of Franklin is more diurnal in its aesthetics. I like his eye for the urban melancholy, the found magazines in the street, the familiar shadows through one’s window, and the recurrent bits of the city-life vegetations.
