The Flog

Ruby Magazine issue 27.

Once again, Irana curated a lovely issue for Ruby Magazine.

Lima born and Berlin based artist Tania Bedrinana creates figurative paper cut-out installations which seem to have been detached from decayed walls and dirty wallpapers. Some pieces are discreet, naive and somewhat romantically odd while some other works feel macabre, absurd and more complex. If you are in Berlin, look out for her work.

I also quite liked the photographs of Darren Harvey-Regan and particularly his series Shadow of the object. One would see a familiar forest, yet by simply playing with our perception of perspective and light, Harvey-Regan reveals unexpected, at times eerie dimensions within the woods.
